    National Campaign ManagerAbout National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA)The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the leading national voice for dignity, respect, and recognition for domestic workers in the United States.

    NDWA was founded in 2007 by organizers and worker leaders in six cities representing nannies, house cleaners, and care workers, and now represents an alliance of more than 76 organizations across 22 states and 395,000 domestic workers nationally.

    We envision a society where domestic work is valued as essential to our collective well-being, domestic workers are leaders in shaping the care sector, and domestic work jobs are good, economically secure jobs.

    For over 15 years, we've worked to advance our mission by making domestic work visible.

    We've worked to pass policies that enable rights and higher wages for domestic workers across the country, changed public awareness and opinion about the dignity and value of care work, and built the capacity and leadership of domestic workers to organize and advocate for their rights.

    We see the next era of our organization as an opportunity to move domestic work from newfound visibility towards transformation, and we're ready to elevate care workers to the essential workers of the 21st-century economy.

    Summary of the National Campaign Manager positionThe National Campaign Manager will work to develop, implement and win campaigns that build the power of domestic workers and have a strong, measurable impact on domestic workers' livelihood.

    Working with the National Campaign Director, they will play a pivotal role in driving and shaping the public narrative, educating and holding lawmakers accountable, cultivating local leaders, and driving policy change for domestic workers.

    We are looking for someone who has experience managing federal campaigns for a movement-building organization.

    Opportunities for ImpactCampaign Management Work with the National Campaign Director to manage the execution of NDWA's campaign strategies, driving day to day implementation of priorities, including event planning, written communications pieces, and coalition relationship building Build support and align key stakeholders at the state and federal levels around campaign goals Organize collective domestic worker power through affiliates, chapters, partners, and political allies.

    Strengthen current partnerships and create new relationships with allied movements and coalitions Expand and deepen NDWA/local organizer relationships with local labor enforcement agenciesCommunication & Collaboration Craft powerful narratives in written and visual mediums that quickly sum up information in a way that motivates action Design systems to help staff expand their reach in online and offline activities Track analysis of data to report on campaign impacts and opportunities for improvement.

    Track frequency and pace of ongoing campaigns as well as corresponding legislative wins to assess progress Collaborate with team of advocates and stakeholders to amplify their work and identify messages that will help drive public action across NDWA's campaigns Build communication strategies for campaigns that elevates national narrative shift surrounding the care sector in order to build societal investments in care Generate ways to tell the story of domestic workers and encourage and assist domestic workers to share their own storiesPolicy Advocacy Lead campaign strategies to pass policies that enable rights and higher wages for domestic workers Scale state policy campaigns to the federal level, and pursue legislative innovations for ways to enforce workers' rights Collaborate with coalitions and key stakeholders to lead policy education and lobbying campaigns in key legislative areasOrganizing and Engagement Plan impactful events that elevate organizational goals from start to finish, including materials, agendas, run of show, etc.

    Build grassroots capacity and leadership in domestic workers in key geographies to deepen engagement and movement-building capacities Build active constituencies and test ways to meaningfully increase services and community buildingLocationThis is a remote, full-time role open to candidates across the US, with preference for candidates based in the Washington, D.C.

    area.
    CompensationThis is a full-time executive position with a salary range of $86,520-$89,135.

    NDWA offers an excellent benefits plan including 401(k) plan with a 3% employer match, healthcare fully paid by the employer, two annual office closures, and much more.

    Personal and Professional Attributes 5+ years experience working on federal campaigns for a movement-building nonprofit organization. Experience managing issue-based campaigns and leading teams to hit goals. Exceptional writing and editing skills, including for email, text, social media and written memos or other offline organizing. Strong ability to craft compelling narratives and encourage storytelling from affected groups. Track record of building relationships and bringing people together to work towards a common campaign goal. Strong project management experience, can manage multiple projects and drive them to completion.
    Exceptional organizational skills and creatively solves problems. Persuasive approach to communication and bringing people into collaboration. Ability to influence stakeholders in written and oral communication. Alignment with NDWA's vision and values, including a commitment to economic, racial, and gender justice. Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, meet multiple deadlines with a keen attention to details. Ability to work and collaborate with diverse staff in person and remotely and as part of a high-performing team.
