    Title: Administrative Assistant to the Empowerment Program

    Reports to: Program Director

    Location: Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice Inc. - Office: Judy Sullivan Resource Center, Naples FL

    Classification : Hourly/Non-exempt

    Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Inc. provides services to people of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Program Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing office coordination and clerical support to the Program Director and the implementation of the Empowerment Program, to include client selection/eligibility, the enrollment process, follow-up, timelines, and pre- and post-measurement assessments and outcome measures.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and clerical support to the Program Director and personnel.
  • Greet and assist clients, community representatives and visitors.
  • Manage, screen and route all telephone calls and requests and/or take message for personnel.
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding available services and programs.
  • Refer clients to outside resources when appropriate.
  • Complete and submit accurate and timely reports.
  • Prepare check requests as directed and submit to Central Office.
  • Ensure organization of all office files and records.
  • Ensure maintenance of office equipment and physical site.
  • Enter client information into Client Track as instructed.
  • Meet with clients to determine eligibility for the program.
  • Conduct needs assessment and collaborate with clients to write individualized service plans.
  • Work with clients to meet the goals of their plans.
  • Works harmoniously with staff, supervisor, volunteers, community partners and the public.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Requirements

  • High School diploma, two-year college degree preferred.
  • 2 years of office coordination experience; experience in human service field.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to respond appropriately and with sensitivity to a diverse client population.
  • Ability to work within the moral and social teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Work requires sitting, standing, but may include lifting and carrying.
