- Develop new business opportunities, maintain existing accounts, and reduce lost business to drive profitable sales growth and meet specific objectives within the assigned territory.
- Identify and assess prospects in alignment with company account segmentation objectives.
- Understand customer business requirements and offer a tailored mix of products and services to meet those needs.
- Monitor market trends and suggest suitable products to customers based on their business objectives and needs.
- Stay informed about market dynamics, new product developments, and competitors' offerings, prices, and sales strategies; share relevant insights with customers as added value.
- Address customer queries regarding products, pricing, availability, and utilization.
- Provide product details and hands-on training to customer staff.
- Drive to customer sites, events, company gatherings, etc., using personal vehicle.
- Manage deliveries as per the transportation department's routing schedule; troubleshoot any issues during the order process (e.g., out-of-stock items, special orders, low inventory).
- Engage in company events, promotional activities, customer visits, and events.
- Attend general sales and district meetings.
- Participate in continuous training sessions.
- Support in training new team members as requested.
- Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, sales/gross profit margin data.
- Execute administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits, pick-up requests, creating sales quotes and menu recommendations, and filing reports.
- Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR HSD/GED and 3 years of experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Fluent in multiple languages
- Prior experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef is valued
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no multiple DUIs in the past 2 years)
- Current automobile insurance meeting specific liability requirements
- Pass pre-employment screenings (Drug Test, Background Check).
- Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
- Reside in or be willing to move to the geographical area of the assigned territory.
