    We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join an exciting mid-size CDMO as the first Business Development Manager in the USA and drive the company's business growth.

    The ideal candidate will have a background in the chemistry process field for small molecule and/or peptide drugs.

    We are seeking a passionate individual to join us as the first Business Development Manager in the USA, driving the company's growth and success.

    This is a great opportunity to join a company with tremendous expansion plans as they open their manufacturing facility in the USA after huge success across China.

    As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new client relationships, cultivating existing client accounts, and promoting our services to key decision-makers in the life sciences industry. You will play a crucial role in generating revenue and expanding our client base, while also ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
    • Identify and prospect potential clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and CRO industries.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in client organizations.
    • Understand client needs and requirements, and tailor our services to meet their specific recruitment needs.
    • Present and promote our services to clients through effective sales presentations, meetings, and networking events.
    • Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, and placement.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
    • Prepare reports and maintain accurate sales and client activity records.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related field.
    • Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably within the life sciences industry.
    • Strong knowledge of the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and CRO sectors.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at various organizational levels.
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Self-motivated and target-driven.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
