Position Overview:
Freshly Picked is seeking a diligent and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in QuickBooks Online to assist in managing our financial operations efficiently. The Staff Accountant will assist in providing financial leadership to the business. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions ·

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
Maintain and update financial records and documentation in QuickBooks Online.
Assist with financial audits and compliance requirements as necessary.
Assist with Inventory analysis and control. ·
Assist/oversee sales tax compliance nationwide
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in accounting procedures.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting.
Analyze financial information, prepare financial statements, and present results.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
1-3 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
High proficiency in Excel
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting applications required
Strong Analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
Experience with ecommerce sales, manufacturing, and/or cost accounting are a plus
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
Strong knowledge of financial acumen and principles
