National Metalwarespowered by UPG is a growing steel service that has been in business for almost 60 years. National Metalwares is looking to hire a Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic team Successful candidates will have ideally worked in the steel industry (but not required) and have a solid level of experience with the types of specialized products and services produced by steel service centers. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. We strive to build strong relationships with our customers by providing high level of service, value-add opportunities, and professionalism in all interactions, allowing us to become a valued member of their supply chain and production teams.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Data entry of inventory transactions, receiving stock to warehouse locations, warehouse scrap, inventory location transfers
Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
Communicate with various departments regarding missing information or pick tickets.
Work with Production Scheduler to schedule manufacturing orders.
Work with production department to improve variances and efficiencies.
Supplemental keying for various supervisors.
Send inventory and consignment status reports to appropriate individual(s)
Process releases/closing of "MO" orders for billing on shipping
Maintain spreadsheet for inventory transactions and enter new department codes for manufacturing parts
Investigate and correct negative inventory counts

Position Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) with the ability to learn new software programs as needed
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with good attention to detail while maintaining a calm demeanor under stressful conditions
Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining a strong work ethic.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background check, and drug test
