WSP USA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Delivery Director to lead our digital transformation initiatives and drive the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies and processes across our Property & Buildings business line.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BIM, digital project delivery, and a proven track record of successfully implementing digital strategies in complex projects.
This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to drive change and optimize project delivery workflows.Your Impact
Specific Responsibilities Include
The successful candidate will work with the organization to create information policy, standards and protocols – and help embed new ways of working to make better, more holistic decisions based on quality information, and building the foundation toward a purposeful Digital Delivery capability.
Lead and manage the BIM and digital delivery team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM standards, protocols, and guidelines, develop training and compliance checks for project teams to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM and digital delivery, and assess their potential impact on the organization.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of BIM and digital delivery initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert on BIM-related matters, providing guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders as needed.
Support major pursuits, working with the marketing team and pursuit lead to outline digital delivery strategies and client value proposition.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to showcase our expertise in BIM and digital delivery.
Establishing the strategy and governance of project-generated data and information.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in BIM implementation and digital project delivery, leading initiatives across information management, data modeling and systems architecture.
Domain expertise in complex vertical assets (healthcare, mission critical, aviation, advanced manufacturing) and the systems infrastructure that support these facilities (mep, structure, facades and other building systems).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
In-depth knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and industry best practices.
Experience with 4D/5D BIM, virtual design and construction (VDC), and other advanced BIM technologies is preferred.
Relevant certifications such as BIM Management Certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are a plus.
Knowledge of emerging industry standards and framework, such as open BIM and open data standards
Track record in bringing progressive approaches, thinking and ways of working in a digital delivery environment
Knowledge of information management best practices, including strategy, processes, tools and current developments in infrastructure and the built environment
Understanding of the requirements and implications of organizational transformation and change
Clear vision for the power of holistic information management and the inspiration to develop new digital services and products in this space, including the application of digital twin platforms
Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels including the executive team
Be open minded, collaborative and retain a strong sense of team
Ability to travel occasionally as required.
Knowledge of a wide range of 3D design, modeling, and cloud-based integration platforms, including Bentley, Autodesk, Microsoft Azure, Navisworks, or similar platforms.
