About the Team:

What You Will Do:

  • Manage asset deliveries and oversee channel launches being the technical lead on all content launches for WatchFree+.
  • Assume ownership of all ingestion and processing of QA projects. Proactive identification and communication of any issues that may slow down, stop or improve the testing progress as early in the project's lifecycle as possible.
  • Maintain existing channels and make updates, as requested, from PSPs and content/distribution partners and coordinate with VIZIO's editorial team.
  • Provide timely updates to various internal and external teams regarding scheduling, delivery, quality control, and publication.
  • Collaborate with the Product team on content experience and new features including the development of the VOD/AVOD initiative. Tasks include keeping track of multiple deliveries and assets on various FAST channel and AVOD projects. Proactively identify, communicate, and execute resolutions for relevant issues. This includes updates, maintenance and enhancements for all content operations tools including the CMS.
  • Continuously investigate process workflows in order to make improvements; suggest solutions to identified process bottlenecks. Provide support and assistance, to the rest of the QA or Operations departments, as required.
  • Ensure metadata integrity by auditing and evaluating quality standards.
  • QA tasks: assist with various assigned projects aimed at improving the user's content viewing experience, such as replacing bad ad breaks, fixing descriptions or correcting bad artwork crops.
  • Ad hoc requests. Pivot to new priorities and adapt to new contexts.

About You:

  • BA/BS required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant OTT/digital media experience as it pertains to asset management and content delivery (including an understanding of digital media content supply chains and partner management).
  • Direct experience with content distributors and content delivery networks (CDNs)
  • Amagi, Wurl, Xumo, Frequency, Ottera is mandatory.
  • Direct experience in programming and scheduling (CMS systems), especially for VOD/FAST/AVOD.
  • Working technical knowledge of digital video specifications and best practices.
  • Project management experience. The ability to coordinate and track high volume of work through an endtoend workflow.
  • Must be comfortable with change and working on content management for a growing platform as it develops.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic work environment and work effectively against multiple competing deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross functional teams (Product, Engineering, Editorial, Content Acquisitions) with an emphasis on strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Selfmotivated, extremely well organized with an exceptional attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a cando positive attitude to contribute to the success of the team.
  • Advanced Excel skills. Experience with data analysis tools a plus.
  • Passion for content with a keen eye for details and troubleshooting.
  • Expert knowledge of production/postproduction pipelines and delivery systems.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $102,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $132,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
