    Job Description:

    The Epi Product Unit Managing Director is responsible for the architecture, the system design for the Epi integrated products of the connectivity solutions for Client.

    The Head of Epi Product Unit is a very senior engineer/technical expert that is coming up with initial blueprints of the products & solutions and is pulling the different engineering practices together to form a great engineering team.

    The Head of Epi Product Unit is also a trusted partner of the customer and will get insights about product gaps and needs that will be shared with Product Marketing to help define the Product Roadmap.

    Key Responsibilities
    Development of 3D DRAM Multi-Stack Epi products.

    Technical and Strategic Leadership:
    Technical expert of epitaxy processes with a focus on advancing 3D-DRAM multi-stack technologies for DRAM memory roadmap

    Lead product development from C&F to HVM for epitaxy that meets customer s requirements and roadmap and aligned with organizational goals.

    Provide visionary leadership and technical guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.


    Epitaxy Process Development:
    Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of epitaxy processes specifically tailored for 3D-DRAM multi-stack memory technologies.
    Lead the research and engineering teams to drive innovation in 3D-DRAM multi-stack design and functionality.
    Technology Roadmap & Customer Champion
    Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform the technology roadmap.
    Customer champion for epitaxy process and overall memory technology


    Project Management:
    Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for epitaxy and 3D-DRAM multi-stack product development initiatives.
    Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products in alignment with project milestones.

    Partner with the customers and the industry & suppliers to come up with a blueprint and eventually a prototype of the products and solutions we consider building.

    Identifies the need for engineering capabilities, pulls engineers together and forms a team to drive prototyping, approvals, and development of products.

    Drives jointly with the rest of the engineering team the product development approval (through an NPI)
    Partner with the customer to help them integrate Client s products into their systems. Quickly solve technical issues by working with the customer, engineering, and product marketing.
    Partner with the engineering team to deliver on customer commitments.
    Partner with the customer to understand future needs and communicate these to product marketing and engineering. Partner with product marketing to help define products and roadmaps.
    Discover and develop new applications of our technology.
    Functional Knowledge
    Track record of designing and bringing complex Epi systems to production requiring cross-functional collaboration across many technical fields.
    Excellent communication skills, including active listening and questioning.
    Fluent English language and experience communicating with people from different countries.
    Excellent presentation skills
    Ideally candidates from the Epi industry or other industries with advanced technology
    Ideally candidates with academic experience in Epi and related fields
    candidate must understand the key drivers and applications for interconnections in data centers and telecommunications world.
    Ideally the candidate has experience with common modeling and simulation tools of Epi and metal systems.

    Ideally the candidate has in-depth experience with designing Epi systems in Semiconductor Technology Development, Thin Film Growth and Characterization.

    Ideally the candidate has experience with semiconductor 300mm capital equipment and typical manufacturing fab process technology requirements.
    ~ Expert in thin film metrology and analytical techniques, and statistical data analysis. - Hands-on experience with technology transfer of manufacturing processes required. - Solid understanding of relationship between process & hardware to develop high performing HVM semiconductor equipment. - Proven track record of technical leadership of small groups of 3-4 engineers with the ability to provide guidance to less experienced engineers as well as a history of generating and executing program schedules thoroughly and on time. - Ability to work effectively in a highly leveraged fast-paced environment is a must. - The ability to work effectively in a team environment is a must.

    Experience influencing action without owning resources.
    Experience in managing customer projects together with the engineering team.

    Manage multiple projects with customers in different countries, and time zones.

    Accepts Role Requirements

    The role requires the person to work as part of a team, working to the overall objectives of the business.

    The resources executing the customer technical projects are shared among all projects, so decisions on one customer project impact another.

    Will need to balance all activities.
    The main point of the engineering center is in San Jose, CA
    Customers are in the USA, Asia, and Europe. Customer calls may be in am and pm on some days.
    International travel required, 10%

    Education/Years of Experience:
    Ph.
    D. in Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics, with 12+ years experience, or M.S. in same with 15+ years experience. Ph.
    D. preferred.
