- Reports to VP of Corporate Development, supporting at least 2 VPs and their teams that are located primarily in San Diego but with a global presence.
- As a key member of the leadership team, will invest time to understand how the team works together, their key priorities and milestones for the year and helps contribute to the success of the department.
- Acts as an ambassador for Illumina - internally & externally, exhibiting a positive attitude and living our values.
- Demonstrates strong business partnership with multiple departments as well as the across the Illumina and Executive administrative team.
- Manages operational projects through scheduling, assigning tasks, and expediting work results as needed.
- Interacts with all levels of external partners; is highly professional in all engagements and drives success.
- Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
- Schedules and manages all domestic and international travel and accommodations, meetings and meeting logistics.
- Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
- May answer or screen emails and telephone interactions, capturing key information and following up as needed on the executive's behalf.
- Provides information by answering questions and requests, seeking additional information as needed and driving to resolution.
- May help to create presentations or key documents by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
- Organizes, reconciles and submits expense reports in Concur, Illumina's travel and expense management system.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changes.
- Implements practices to increase productivity and where appropriate, effectively manages communications.
- Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature.
- Organizes and plans a variety of events including conferences and meetings.
- Sr-level experience working in a highly professional environment with interactions with important internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with calendar management, meeting and event planning, preparation of presentations, conference registration and expense report administration.
- Ability to demonstrate professional presence to engage effectively with customers/partners at executive level.
- Must have a high level of proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Typically requires general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training and a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.

Position Summary:
Illumina is seeking an Administrative Partner who will support the VP, Corporate Development and VP, Pharmaceutical/Biotech Collaborations. The Admin Partner will be based out of Illumina's San Diego headquarters (hub/hybrid). This person will help ensure the prioritization of the VP's schedule to ensure the best use of their time, prioritizing critical meetings and events, and helping drive actions to keep their team progressing.
Responsibilities:
The estimated base hourly range for the Administrative Partner, Corporate Development (Hybrid) role based in the United States of America is: $ $58.31. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
