    Description

    This leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a dynamic team and lead our manufacturing operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and meet production targets.

    Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations including production scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and maintenance.

    Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards. Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to uphold product quality and safety.

    Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs to maximize profitability. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

    Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance against targets. Implement corrective actions as needed to address deviations and optimize performance.

    Supplier and Vendor Management: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging supplies. Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

    Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity. Encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and innovation.

    Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.

    Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles, and regulatory requirements.

    Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production targets.

    Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

    Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

    Proficiency in data analysis and use of ERP/MRP systems.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
