OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Job Summary:


Operations Manager manages regional Deposits Operations and supports the Operations Director in the execution of operational priorities across the region.

This role interacts with Corporate operational functions at all levels and is the key regional liaison for initiatives tied to Operational Business Improvement, Fraud and Deposits Quality.

This position manages the design, implementation and monitoring of key operational and quality initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction, productivity and effectiveness and efficiency of operations across the region.

Champions internal and external excellent customer service delivery.


Essential Responsibilities:

The primary objectives for this position are to perform the following tasks:


Deposits Operations:


The primary objectives for this position is to ensure operational excellence and flawless customer service delivery in the performance of the Deposits Operations functions for all deposits portfolios as it relates to daily operations and customer satisfaction.

Main areas of responsibility within the Deposits Operations function for all deposits and electronic products/services within the region.

  • Deposits related general ledger accounts balancing
  • Review daily operational reports from Fiserv and other relevant data or information
  • Deposits Operations customers complaints
  • Oversee the Regional document retention policies and procedures for deposits to ensure documents are maintained up to date to conform regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensures excellent customer service is delivered consistently.
  • Review results of the Deposits Operations team activities to ensure these are performed according to corresponding policies and procedures, and to ensure expected results are met.
  • Reports results of Deposits Operations Oversight activities performed on a monthly basis at FirstBank Puerto Rico level, as applicable.
  • Assists team members with deposits operations activities in difficult cases.
  • Leads the regional Operational Excellence quarterly meetings and ensure proper monitoring of the implementation of actions discussed in these meetings on a monthly basis. Prepares the reports and documentation necessary for these monthly meetings.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance within the deposit's operations areas
  • All other related Deposits Operations matters

Independence of Judgment:


Supervisory Responsibilities:

An in-depth knowledge of deposits operations, quality, risk and operational policies, procedures, and practices is required.

An in-depth knowledge in accounting and finance policies, theories and practices and project management skills are also required for the intervention with the Operations Director in special projects.

The Operations Manager comes in contact with many different personalities and types of people.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Financial Management. Advanced degree preferred. Sig Sigma Certification preferred. Seven-Ten years of experience in Deposits Operations and/or Quality Area is required
