Commercial Finance Analyst
reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance. The Analyst is a business partner to the Commercial Marketing team. The individual is responsible for financial support, analysis, and providing proactive insights on decisions. This role will exercise independent judgment and discretion to manage marketing spending through risk and opportunity identification.
This position must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal (finance teams, accounting, marketing) and external stakeholders.
This position offers a high degree of flexibility between working remotely and working in Stamford, CT. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of our Stamford office.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required in Finance
Two- three years' experience in financial analysis/planning with experience in brand planning and commercial finance; CPG experience preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to identify issues/opportunities for improvement and be proactive in addressing them
Advanced analytical mind to synthesize data and develop innovative solutions and recommendations to provide to senior leaders
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with senior leaders and discuss issues and plans
Responsibilities:
Track, analyze and assist in the management and forecasting of the company's 'Point of Sale' allocations and purchases.
Lead the ROI process for predefined commercial programs, working with commercial marketing, business intelligence and commercial finance teams.
Provides support to summarize offers and reconcile activity/spend for coupon offers
Supports reconciliation of custom POS utilizing the Brand Muscle platform
Provide financial support to the Commercial Marketing team consisting of the following but not limited to:
Overheads & T&E management
Agency management
Assist the assessment of field commercial spending is in compliance with company guardrails
Marketing mix analysis support
Ad hoc analysis to assist management in the strategic decision-making process
