Stamford Health is looking for a fulltime Financial Analyst to join the team. This is a Monday-Friday position.


This position is responsible for contract modeling as it pertains to the Health Systems managed care contracts along with maintaining databases and the requisite contracts.

Reporting and analysis of payments along with verifying contract adherence. Providing problem solving support on revenue and financial issues across all Health System departments. Contribution Margin analysis and documentation to drive operational departments and improve efficiency.

  • Maintain all managed care contracts for both the Hospital and Medical Group.
  • Maintain database for contract modeling and payment validation.
  • Assist in negotiations with managed care organizations to secure provider agreements that advance the profitable growth of the Health System.
  • Work with internal service line leaders to understand clinical operations and their impact on the health system and its managed care contracts.
  • Service line contribution margin analysis. Collaborates with management and clinical partners to gather, analyze, and present recommendations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the external business environment and its impact on managed care agreements.
  • Supports the Hospital and Medical Group's quality programs initiatives and their success in the managed care contracts.
  • Meet and negotiate with the large health plans in the area/nationally. This will entail some senior level executive meetings both internally and with the health plans.
  • Work with the VP of Finance to develop and implement the overall Health System managed care strategy.
  • Ensure that provider services agreements can be supported, and key deliverables or performance targets are upheld in advance to committing the organization to their terms

Minimum requirements are:
Bachelor's degree require. Preferred in Accounting or Finance.

1-3 years' experience in a financial related position.

High level of literacy with computers and database management, including prior experiences importing & exporting data files.

Excellent communication skills


Demonstrated abilities using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (vlookup, hlookup, linking files, formatting tables), developing and reporting from MS ACCESS databases, Tableau, and prior exposure to reimbursement or cost accounting software. Ability to work unsupervised under tight guidelines with high attention to detail. Ability to analyze, and critically appraise, financial statistics and reports.
