    Description

    -Small-business direct lender with ~65 employees, based in Norwalk, CT

    -The firm is seeking an analyst to perform monthly reporting, data analysis, and financial modeling to support the CFO

    -The role will sit with the full corporate accounting team in the Norwalk office (3 days/week in office, 2 days/week work from home), reporting directly to the firms Controller and great exposure to the CFO

    -Ideally targeting an Investment Banking background (1-2 years) with excellent modeling and pitch-books experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Monthly preparation of financial reporting for banks, investors, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with accounting team to maintain daily liquidity forecast.
    • Analysis of monthly origination and loan portfolio performance and resultant company financial metrics, including presentation of results to CFO.
    • Financial modeling for the purposes of internal budgeting, forecasting monthly performance and evaluation of prospective strategic opportunities.
    • Perform special projects and duties as requested, including ad-hoc analysis in support of CFO.
    • Responsible for various projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency.
    • Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited school. While a degree in business/finance or a related field is not required, successful candidates may also have a degree in physics, math or other STEM disciplines. Regardless the applicant must:
    • Exhibit strong problem solving skills.
    • Possess an understanding of financial and accounting concepts and be able to perform basic financial analysis.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and deliver results.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Track record of strong time management and ability to multi-task.

    Compensation: $90-110k base + $10-20k bonus
