    Description
Job Title: Fiber Network Project Manager

    Job Description:

As a Fiber Network Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of fiber optic network projects. With a proven track record in project management and/or fiber design engineering, you will lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires expertise in OSP (Outside Plant) design projects and deployments, as well as strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of industry experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of fiber optic networks and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for fiber optic network projects. Coordinate with stakeholders, including engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
    2. Fiber Network Design: Utilize your expertise in fiber optic design engineering to develop detailed OSP (Outside Plant) designs for network expansions, upgrades, and deployments. Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for fiber optic infrastructure.
    3. Resource Management: Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project goals and timelines. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and address any issues or delays that may arise during project execution.
    4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with fiber network projects, such as permitting challenges, right-of-way issues, or technical constraints. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.
    5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that fiber network installations meet established standards for performance, reliability, and safety. Conduct site inspections, review construction plans, and address any deviations or non-compliance issues promptly.
    6. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables. Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal teams and external partners to drive project success.
    7. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project expenses, track budget variances, and identify opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or scope. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses to support decision-making and budget planning.
    8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including design drawings, permits, contracts, and other relevant records. Generate progress reports, status updates, and post-mortem analyses to evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned for future improvement.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (preferred).
    • 5-10 years of experience in project management and/or fiber optic design engineering, with a focus on OSP projects and deployments.
    • Strong understanding of fiber optic network principles, technologies, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    Conclusion:

As a Fiber Network Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of fiber optic network projects. Your expertise in project management, fiber design engineering, and OSP deployments will be instrumental in ensuring project success, meeting stakeholder expectations, and advancing the organization's strategic objectives in telecommunications infrastructure.
