- Accurately prepares IVs utilizing the aseptic technique, under the supervision of a pharmacist, in accordance with USP Guidelines and Texas State Board of

- Assists in maintaining unit dose readiness of bulk products. Verifies barcode scan accuracy.
- Makes timely rounds and accurately and safely transport medications and other pharmacy supplies to assigned areas.
- Replenishes stock in the automated dispensing system, crash cart trays, and specialty medication boxes accurately and timely.
- Performs and documents quality control activities, including monthly medication storage area inspections, and completes information on all required log sheets.
- Performs daily ADS routines (outdates, discrepancy resolution, loading/unloading, etc.) and troubleshoots all ADS issues (pocket/drawer failures, temperatures out of range, interface issues, etc.). Outpatient Pharmacy
- Assists in triaging and filling prescriptions while maintaining productivity standards.
- Performs cashier functions and processing daily and ad hoc reports.
- Verifies and updates patient demographic, insurance, and prescription information into the computer system.
- Assists patients by providing excellent customer service directly and via the telephone.
- Use associated hardware and software to complete pharmaceutical transactions and associated duties.
- Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- National certification through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Graduate from a pharmacy technology program.
- Sterile Compounding Certification accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

Job Summary: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I-IV assists the pharmacist(s) in storing, preparing, distributing, reconciling, and charging all medications and other healthcare products to the appropriate areas serviced by the pharmacy.
