Lead Pediatric Dental AssistantResponsibilities:
- Assist the pediatric dentist in providing comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for dental procedures
- Assist with dental procedures, including dental cleanings, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, extractions, fillings, and restorations.
- Perform dental radiographs and maintain accurate records
- Educate patients and their parents on oral hygiene practices and posttreatment care
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during their dental visits
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a dental assistant, with a focus on pediatric dentistry
- Experience with oral conscious sedation techniques and hospital dentistry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with young patients and their parents
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficient in dental radiography techniques and recordkeeping
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Current CPR certification

- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Familiarity with medical coding procedures is preferred
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus
