    Organization Background

At Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY), their greatest strengths are the employees who empower every individual with the information, resources, and care they need to live happy, healthy lives.

PPGNY is a team of trusted health care providers, educators, and fierce advocates committed to advancing equity and improving health outcomes in communities that face systemic barriers to quality, innovative sexual and reproductive searches - including birth control, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, HIV testing and prevention, transgender hormone therapy, wellness exams, crisis counseling, and financial counseling. PPGNY also provides compassionate, nonjudgemental abortion services across 65% of New York State.

PPGNY is committed to providing care, no matter what to the urban, suburban and rural communities they serve throughout New York State - as well as the people who seek their care as medical refugees from states across the nation.

Through a reproductive justice lens, PPGNY advocates for policies and legislation that expand access to sexual and reproductive health care and education and advance equity in the communities they serve.

    Our Vision

Building a world where all communities have full access to innovative, high-quality, affordable, evidence-based sexual and reproductive health services, which will always include abortion, whenever, wherever, and however they are needed.

    Our Mission

PPGYN is a leading provider of sexual and reproductive health services and information, a fierce advocate, and a committed partner to advance equity and improve health outcomes for all.

    Position Summary

In collaboration with the CEO, Board of Directors and other Leadership Team members, the CFO establishes and supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic direction for PPGNY. PPGNY is seeking a highly experienced leader with a deep understanding of not-for-profit finance and health care reimbursement to guide the organization through a challenging and dynamic environment. Candidates must be willing to roll up their sleeves as well as work on a strategic level in a high-stakes environment. He/she/they will create an environment for successful organizational performance and, alongside the CEO and Board, accept responsibility for the financial performance and financial viability of PPGNY.

PPGNY undertook a five-way merger that finalized in January 2020. As they are a relatively new organization in this current iteration, the CFO will have the opportunity to redesign the financial management practice with centralized systems and processes that best support the organization's size and scope. PPGNY participates in several shared services ventures with other Planned Parenthood organizations, including a hosted solution for our electronic health record and practice management platform, revenue cycle management, IT, and call centers; the CFO deeply collaborates with peers across the country in this realm.
