    Manager Ticketing Systems - Phil HoSummaryThe Application Engineer's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.

    This includes testing, analyzing and supporting software programs and applications. The Application Engineer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.


    The Application Engineer will serve as a key contact with the user community for solving business issues and for designing, developing and implementing new business initiatives.

    ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and document existing software solutions.
    Provide a system support role for day-to-day systems operations.
    Develop detailed test plans & conduct system testing.
    Collaborate with other UPR IT teams as needed to support the business requirements.
    Define and manage small projects, timelines, deliverables and communication to the business.
    Provide regular status reportingProvide support for various hardware and software upgrades.
    Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications/Requirements


    Bachelor's degree required from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.2-4 years of work experience in an IT support functionExperience supporting a large POS applicationWillingness to travel and or work weekends with short notice; Support during non-business hours as needed.

    Desired Characteristics

    Excellent understanding of SQL database and query best practices.

    Including triggers, stored procedures, SQL jobs, SSIS, and reporting using SSRSExtensive relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

    Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Windows Server Administration Experience (review and troubleshoot logs, patching, access control, user access reviews, and IIS)Experience with IT Service Management Tools (ServiceNow or Jira)Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teamsHospitality industry experience preferredStrong communication skillsStrong technical/analytical skillsResults oriented with a history of problem resolution and preventionEffectively handle sensitive and confidential matters

    This is a hybrid role (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday onsite) in Hollywood.

    The HM will be looking closely at a candidate's education and certifications, years of experience and technical skillset This is not a developer or coding role, the contractor will be looking at tickets, answering emails and providing support for the current projects Communication is key, they will be working with other outside vendors and with key stakeholders on both coastsThey will be working standard hours (PST) The team is small and close-knit (6 people).

    Communication is super important, especially on WFH days There will be 2 rounds of interviews
