Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are currently looking to add a new Construction Estimator/Measurer to our team in Traverse City, MI. CAD experience preferred. Applicants must live in or be willing to relocate to the Traverse City area.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Work in conjunction with and assist Sales staff with preparing bids
Maintain effective communication with the Sales staff
Examine plans and specifications to prepare a complete scope of work
Takeoff plans using estimating software (Measure Square experience a plus)
Experience:
Must be familiar with and understand blueprints
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
Proficient in using estimating software and tools
Google Suite, Microsoft Office, general pc knowledge/usage, and proper email etiquette.
The ideal candidate:
Can work under pressure, work within deadlines and within a team environment to best achieve excellent and timely results
Will be extremely detailed and organized
Must be willing to learn not only our processes but continue to learn as an estimator
Should be professional and work well with others
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Valid Driver's License required
Benefits include:
Health and Dental Insurance after 30 days
401(k) and Profit Sharing after one year
Paid vacation after 120 days
Compensation:
Starting salary $50,000/year, depending on experience
