Currently, more than engineers work for us to realize and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, train stations, tracks, and signal systems - but that's not nearly enough.

As an engineer at the German Railway, you can plan, manage, or supervise something that will remain:
the infrastructure for future generations.


We are currently looking for you as a Head of Portfolio Management (m/f/d) for DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH at our location in Nuremberg, starting as soon as possible.


Your tasks:

  • You lead complex planning projects involving all specialist disciplines in phases 1 to 7 of the HOAI (German fee structure for architects and engineers)
  • You are the direct contact person for clients and contractors
  • In addition, you are responsible for the development, organization, and management of the team in Nuremberg and take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of team members
  • You are also responsible for cost estimation and proposal processing for complex planning services
  • You organize projects and manage the planners and external service providers involved in the project
  • You are responsible for the timely, costeffective, and highquality execution of planning projects
  • You also develop methods and systems further

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in civil engineering or electrical engineering with relevant professional experience in the planning or construction of railway infrastructure
