Direct and oversee the financial operations of MachTen, Inc. (OTC: MACT), a recently formed, publicly traded holding company that was spun off from LICT Corporation (OTC: LICT) in August 2023. MachTen's subsidiaries provide high speed broadband and related communications services, primarily in rural Michigan. 2023 revenues were approximately $16 million, with EBITDA of approximately $8 million. The company has recently been awarded several grants and subsidies from the federal government to build fiber optic communications networks, with estimated construction spending of $100 million over the next 5 years. The CFO will report to the CEO and support strategic initiatives and manage all financial functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Participate in high-level business decisions and implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Manage the accounting team and communicate financial objectives across departments.
• Direct the preparation of all internal and external financial filings & tax returns.
• Manage cash flows, investment of funds, banking relationships and sourcing of funds required to support the capital structure and government grant programs.
• Financial forecasting, annual capital budgeting and multi-year planning process.
• Manage relationship with investors, independent auditors, and outside consultants.
• Identify and manage business risks and property and casualty insurance.
• Ensure effective internal control systems in compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Management, supervisory, analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems
• Ability to communicate, written and verbally with all constituents.

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree, Accounting, or Finance
• At least 8 years of experience in investment / corporate management & financial reporting

Job Type / Location: Remote with regular visits to Traverse City, MI & Carney, Michigan offices.
