- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
- Ensures compliance with federal, multiple state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Generate payroll reports for management and accounting purposes
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
- Review and submit vendor invoices to appropriate vendor managers; ensure timely approval and payment transactions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred, Associate's degree required

What We Offer
Role
As the Payroll Manager, you will will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This individual will work closely with the finance and human resources departments to handle all aspects of payroll administration and vendor management. This position is a hybrid position, with the ability to come onsite to the Saratoga office, 2-3 days each week.

The expected full-time salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 annually and is dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications and years of experience.
