Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to support our growing team at our Glendale, New York location. As an essential member of our Human Resources department, the HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and assistance on policies, procedures, and benefits.
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
Coordinate training and development activities, including identifying training needs, scheduling sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness.
Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially, conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with organizational objectives and values.

Additional Information:

This is an on-site position located in Glendale, New York. Candidates must reside within a 45-minute commute from our Glendale location.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in the transportation or hospitality industry.
Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in all HR practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
