Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to support our growing team at our Glendale, New York location.
As an essential member of our Human Resources department, the HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding HRrelated inquiries, providing guidance and assistance on policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
- Coordinate training and development activities, including identifying training needs, scheduling sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially, conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work culture.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with organizational objectives and values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in the transportation or hospitality industry.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in all HR practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software a plus.
Additional Information:
Pay:
$65, $75,000.00 per year
