About Vaxart

Vaxart is a biotechnology company in the clinical stage that focuses on developing oral recombinant vaccines through its exclusive delivery platform. These vaccines are provided in tablet form, making them convenient and easily stored without refrigeration.

Vaxart has proven the effectiveness of its unique tablet vaccine delivery platform, enabling the company to create oral versions of existing vaccines and develop new vaccines for various purposes. The current projects include vaccines against coronavirus, norovirus, seasonal influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and a therapeutic vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV).

The company's goal is to enhance global health by creating efficient and easy-to-administer vaccines in tablet form, eliminating the need for injections and simplifying the distribution process in any environment.

We are seeking a Paralegal to join our expanding team in South San Francisco.

Position Summary:

The Paralegal will support the General Counsel by conducting research, preparing legal documents, and investigating legal matters to aid in legal proceedings or defenses.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review corporate and legal documents, such as contracts and filings.
Analyze research data and maintain filing systems for legal documents.
Assist in corporate records management and HR-related tasks.
Participate in Board of Director meetings and handle various agreements.

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, particularly in corporate governance and contracting.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of employment laws and securities regulations.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Vaxart offers a competitive salary range of $106,000.00 - $125,000.00 USD annually for this position, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health plans, bonus programs, stock options, 401(k) matching, and more.
