Trusts & Estates Paralegal

Join the team Law Firm seeks an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our boutique Estate Planning law firm.

We provide tax, succession, estate planning, and trust administration services. This position is full-time and requires employee to work in our San Carlos office. This is not a remote working position.


Responsibilities:

• Draft Living Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives and Irrevocable Trusts
• Draft Incapacity, Probate, and Trust Administration documents
• Draft and file petitions with the Court
• Assist clients with collection, appraisal, and distribution of assets
• Prepare client communications
• Prepare accounting and gift and estate tax returns
• Assist in the formation of entities such as Limited Liability Companies
• Perform legal research
• Provide administrative/clerical tasks including answering telephones, scheduling appointments and providing support for front desk/receptionist

Performance, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, be detailoriented, and proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
• Proactive and a team player, adaptable to a fastpaced environment, selfmotivated and possess initiative to complete tasks with mínimal supervision
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; the position requires extensive professional contact with clients, court, county offices, supervisory attorneys and staff

Preferences:

• 2+ years as an Estate Planning Paralegal
• ABA accredited Paralegal Certificate or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree a plus
• California Notary License
• Proficiency in Clio law firm management software
