    Position: Paralegal

    Location: San Francisco, CA

    Reports To: CEO

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our team at Structure Properties. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting in all legal matters related to our property management operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to track and assist in all legal matters, including unlawful detainers, non-payment of rents, insurance claims, compliance and other complex legal needs of the company. The Paralegal will prepare documents such as 3-day notices and will serve as the liaison between the property management operations division and outside counsel for all legal matters requiring attorney involvement.

    Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the property management operations division and outside counsel on all legal cases.
  • Coordinate all legal cases, including unlawful detainers, non-payment of rents, insurance claims, and other larger legal cases.
  • Prepare legal documents such as 3-day notices, notices to quit, and other legal notices as required.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between property managers, tenants, and outside counsel regarding legal matters.
  • Gather and organize relevant documentation, evidence, and information for legal proceedings.
  • Assist outside counsel with case management, including scheduling, document management, and court filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed to support legal strategies and case preparation.
  • Review contracts and provide input and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal matters and case files.
  • Assist with other legal tasks and projects as assigned by the CEO.

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in property management or real estate law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and regulations related to property management and landlord-tenant law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with property managers, tenants, and outside counsel.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
