- Manage and streamline accounts payable operations, including verifying, coding, and setting up invoices for payment, maintaining vendor files, processing electronic transfers, and performing check runs.
- Ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting by generating financial reports, posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closings.
- Serve as the primary contact for ERP system administration, responsible for optimizing accounts payable processes, updating vendor master data, and supporting audits with documentation.
- Enhance communication and coordination with internal stakeholders by liaising with Project Managers and Principals-in-Charge concerning billing, project budgets, and accounts receivable management.
- Continuously improve financial procedures and controls, recommending enhancements to billing cycles, and maintaining up-to-date internal control and compliance documentation.
- Review and verify invoices. Sort, code, and match invoices to supporting documentation. Set up invoices for payment and enter them into the system while ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.

- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, who enjoys a fun work atmosphere and demonstrates proficiency with large ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Deltek, or Microsoft Dynamics; certifications such as CAPP are a plus.
- Have strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles, fair credit practices, and compliance with relevant regulations, along with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Have excellent reading and comprehension skills to adhere to billing and accounts receivable policies and the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Look for exceptional data entry accuracy, attention to detail, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills, supporting efficient handling and analysis of financial data.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills, including the ability to understand and comply with federal and state regulations related to billing and AR procedures and policies.
- Competitive starting base pay from $68,000 - $77,000 annualized.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Accounting Specialist will have a strong focus on Accounts Payable/Project Billing and will report directly to the Controller. In this role, the Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing all activities related to the accounts payable function including processing payments, maintaining cost reports, and managing invoices. By ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable w and project billing operations, this role plays a crucial role in maintaining our Firm's financial health and stability.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being in-office a minimum of three days per week, two of which should be on the Firm's three anchor days which are Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday.
