    Frontier Senior Living, LLC is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced Portland Home Office Accounting team located in Tigard, OR near Bridgeport Mall.

    The Accounts Payable Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the A/P process for a portfolio of communities.

    Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills to maintain positive relationships with vendors, peers and the communities they support.

    The Accounts Payable Specialist must have great attention to details, thoroughness, organization, and analytic ability.


    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Accurately imports and audits A/P batches for selected communities. This includes verifying that proper documentation and approvals have been obtained and invoices are posted to the proper general ledger account and period.
    • Accurately files community invoices, check copies and system generated reports.
    • Prints and audits selected open item reports for appropriate approval prior to payment.
    • Manually enters community invoices into Dynamics.
    • Communicates with selected vendors concerning past due invoices, questions on checks received or other issues concerning vendor accounts.
    • Reconciles selected monthly statements received from vendors.
    • Responsible for accurate entry of check runs to the cash sheets.
    • Maintains AP filing.

    Other Requirements:

    • Minimum education of High School Diploma
    • Experience with high volume payables is preferred
    • Computer keyboard skills, ten-key by touch, good typing skills, and mathematical ability
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to interact on a positive basis with all levels of staff and vendors
    • Strong organizational and computer skills
    • Ability to prioritize and concentrate in a frequently interrupted environment
    • Ability to make sound decisions and meet deadlines
    • Ability to effectively problem solve and be detail-oriented.
    • Accuracy required
    • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
