Location: NE Portland, OR
Salary: $25 - $29 per hour, Contract to Hire
Working Hours: Fully Onsite- 8-5pm

Job Description:
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team in NE Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, a solid understanding of general computer and web-based programs, and a familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The primary responsibilities of this role will include AP and AR and effective written communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) functions as the primary responsibility.
Employ advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word to develop, sustain, and scrutinize financial documents and reports.
Display adeptness in utilizing general computer applications and web-based tools.
Articulate financial documentation clearly and concisely through proficient written communication skills.
Collaborate closely with the accounting team to bolster financial operations and reporting.
Physically handle, transport, and manage large boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds as necessary.
Perform tasks requiring stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for limited durations.
Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor while engaging with employees, members, board members, vendors, and the public.

Qualifications:

Possess an advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Demonstrate proficiency in navigating general computer and web-based programs.
Exhibit a foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Showcase effective writing skills for financial documentation.
Accumulate 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) roles.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
