- Estimation and Cost Analysis:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, focusing on site work elements.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify project requirements and constraints.
- Utilize historical data and industry benchmarks to ensure precise estimates.
- 8(a) Program Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with 8(a) program requirements and regulations in the estimation process.
- Familiarity with Small Business Administration (SBA) guidelines for 8(a) contracting.
- Bid Proposal Preparation:
- Collaborate with the project management and business development teams to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Prepare detailed take-offs, cost breakdowns, and other documentation required for bid submission.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and accuracy in project scopes.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, with a focus on 8(a) government contracts.
- Knowledge of 8(a) program regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.
- Monday through Friday; 8am -5:00pm
- Early start or longer days as necessary to complete the bid accurately.
- 4 + year's experience required on construction projects.
- Bid2Win Software Experience is a Plus.
- AGTEK Software Experience is a Plus.
- Plan Swift Software Experience is a Plus.
