As a Business Unit of Syntegon Technology, Osgood Industries, Inc. is a multi-million dollar, growth-oriented organization for packaging machinery. Established in 1978, Osgood Industries, Inc. was privately owned for more than 40 years and is well-known in the packaging industry. At this location in Oldsmar, FL, we design and manufacture packaging machines for food and a broad spectrum of products. In addition, we build complete line solutions and provide comprehensive after sales services. The facility includes engineering, manufacturing, assembly, R&D/testing lab, management, sales & marketing, administration and service.
**Job Description**
**Position Summary:** Responsible for representing and developing our product lines in domestic markets. Must have outstanding lead qualification and selling skills, the ability to successfully meet the challenge of adding new customers while retaining existing customers and a passion for excellent customer service. Focused on generating profitable new business and a key component of our aggressive growth plan.
**Essential Functions:**
Research and conduct canvass calls to customers (new and existing) in assigned region
Presents/reviews machine quotation with customer utilizing videos and PowerPoint presentations highlighting machine features and benefits.
Prepare machine RFQs
Support customer visits during pre-sales meetings, machine build update meetings, and FATs
Update and maintain CRM with sales activities accounts and contacts and leads
Supports the companys strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals for new machine sales.
Prepares forecasting activities and monitors individual performance goals accordingly
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs
Prepares weekly expense report, as necessary
Develops and maintains relationship contact. Stays current with industry trends and developments to seize new market opportunities
Investigates and resolves customer concerns
Attends trade shows as assigned
Travels throughout assigned territory to visit existing and prospective customers which requires a valid passport; Domestic and limited international travel up to 30% of working time
Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
**BASIC REQUIREMENTS:**
Must possess a minimum of a BA or BS degree from and accredited university
Must have at least 5+ years of capital equipment or automated machinery sales experience
Must have 5+ years of experience working with long sales cycles
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.
Proven record of accomplishment as a top performer while selling in a competitive sales atmosphere.
Capital equipment sales experience, preferably in the packaging machinery industry for food products.
Specific experience in filling and sealing of packages and cups or thermoforming, aseptic, end of line case loading all beneficial.
Energetic, effective, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills who is able to excel in an international sales environment including ability to communicate effectively to the intended audience.
Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Word, and PowerPoint and Excel skills.
