    About the Position


    We're looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Consultant with a passion for cloud migration and adoption to deliver cloud-native solutions for our clients.

    You'll partner closely with customers to understand their business problems, design and architect solutions, and work with teams to implement and deliver expected outcomes.

    This is a hands-on role to effectively automate and configure infrastructure solutions, while working with your Team Lead to establish common practices and share knowledge amongst your team.


    You'll be successful if you can consistently get stuff done, help your team get stuff done, and do it in the right way.

    Using best practices for cloud platform design and a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies is essential, in particular for Microsoft Azure.

    However, if you're more experienced with Amazon AWS or Google Cloud Platform, we'd still love to talk to you.

    Required Qualifications

    A passion for constant learning and is highly adaptable.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Azure or other cloud service provider certifications.
    Prior work experience as a customer-facing technology consultant.
    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
    7+ years of experience working with cloud-native infrastructures.

    Responsibilities

    Partner with customers to gather technical requirements and understand priorities and timelines.
    Use infrastructure-as-code tools to configure and deploy cloud resources.
    Migrate customers' on-prem infrastructures to cloud-native solutions.
    Define and implement methodologies and techniques to migrate workloads to the cloud.
    Understand customer security requirements to ensure privacy and security compliance.
    Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated infrastructure deployments.
    Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments.
    Set up effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems.
    Design and implement availability, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery plans.
    Provide estimates for tasks and work items and deliver them in a consistent, timely manner.
    Uphold engineering excellence by using established best practices, standards, and guidelines.
    Contribute to a team culture of consistent high-quality delivery.
    Help mentor teammates with best practices, patterns, and coding techniques.
    Help manage your team's branching and merging strategies.
    Perform code reviews on pull requests and provide feedback for improvements.

    Technologies

    This list is primarily Azure-specific, but equivalent AWS and GCP resources also apply.

    As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Consultant, we expect senior level proficiency with the following items (or equivalent on AWS and GCP):

    Azure Portal and ARM for managing cloud resources.
    Azure CLI and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
    Bicep and Terraform for IaC deployments.
    Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
    Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
    VNETs, Subnets, Public/Private IPs, Private Endpoints, peering, hub and spoke for cloud networking.
    Active Directory (user, roles, groups, permissions), IAM, RBAC, and Key Vault for cloud security.
    Azure Functions and App Services to support microservice architectures.
    Azure Monitor and App Insights for logging and telemetry.
    Server administration on Windows and Linux.
    Virtual Machines and Blob Storage for compute resources.
    Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB for IaaS and PaaS databases.

    Location


    Neudesic operates in a hybrid work environment, and this role will work physically and/or virtually out of our Solution Center based in either Columbus, OH or Phoenix, AZ.
