Summary of Responsibilities
The business data analyst consults with management and helps develop software to meet internal clients' needs.

This role will continually improve and enhance the Salesforce platform, workflows, and user experience with a focus on business development and client reporting.

The business data analyst works with management and consultants to restructure existing Salesforce environment.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Enhance client profile utilizing PMA abstract and property strategy to get a 360degree view of client's engagement and expectations of Avenue
  • Develop default client specific workflows that can prefill property and platform preferences upon verbal commitment of a new property win, including integrations, PMA abstracts and property strategy
  • Configure, train and support documentation and reporting of client preferences
  • Analyze current form usage and create online forms to ease and improve data collections from third parties
  • Comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into layman's terms, explaining design options and their potential impact
  • Configure and support Salesforce/Outlook integration to log client communications and contact information into Salesforce CRM
  • Implement month integration of real time market data Yardi Matrix, Axio or CoStar to have up to date building and client info
  • Develop task automation process
  • Facilitate transparency of RFP commitments and other appropriate business development documentation in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with marketing group to integrate any thirdparty apps that facilitate a streamlined RFP process
  • Train and support use of mobile app to log calls, visits, stage updates and monitor new business growth in real time
  • Comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of Salesforce projects
  • Manage and train on Salesforce functionality introduced with each release
  • Provide analysis to management on the likelihood of closing deals, based on the historic activity in Salesforce
  • Analyze critical stages and close dates to ensure accurate property list reporting, and create/maintain automated alerts notifying when deals are closed, or if they are aging without any activity
  • Development of real time analysis and dashboards to improve on data reporting currently maintained in spreadsheet format and reduce duplication of work efforts among various teams
  • Manager user profiles, roles, permissions, and page layouts in Salesforce, as well as license activations, permissions and public group updates
  • Creation of new custom objects in Salesforce, as needed
  • Identify unused or underutilized Salesforce platform features to maximize ROI
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Salesforce administrator certification required
  • Two to three years of experience in Salesforce administration is required with a strong product knowledge and at least two years or more of handson experience in Salesforce administration with Sales Cloud
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience in both Classic and Lightning, as well as Lightning implementation
  • Experience in property management is preferred
  • Prior experience in Yardi, Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred
