Bailey Cowan Heckaman PLLC (BCH), a well-established national plaintiff law practice, is seeking law clerks to join our winning team located in the galleria area in Houston, Texas. BCH is dedicated to the fundamental idea of helping people; we are passionate about standing up for the little guy and have recovered billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of our clients. We are looking for someone with a strong hands-on work ethic and the same amount of passion about helping our clients by doing the best job possible.

Preferred candidates have either prior plaintiff's asbestos, complex med mal, mass tort, or personal injury experience. This is an in person job in Houston Texas. Please do not apply if you are not located in Houston. Vaccinations are strongly encouraged.

As a law clerk with our firm, you will be responsible for a variety of assignments for asbestos and mass tort teams. The law clerk may assist with the execution of day-to-day activities of the asbestos and mass tort department staff, as assigned, while accomplishing other functions critical to ensuring the efficiency of the litigation department as follows:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research legal issues related to choice of law in various states, statute of limitations, and other legal topics

• Summarize records, depositions, document reviews, and other research tasks

• Review and draft complaints, petitions, discovery, and plaintiff fact sheets

• Assist in responses to motions for summary judgment, motions to transfer, and motions to dismiss

• Review Medical Records and Settlement Documents for Mass Tort Dockets and assist with client outreach and information gathering

• Prepare attorneys for expert, fact witness, and corporate representative depositions, hearings, and trial settings
