    Job DescriptionDay ShiftFull Time
    Normal Business Hours:Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:45 pmPay: $18 - $20 Depending on ExperienceMcCorvey Sheet Metal is a family-owned and operated company seeking a Reception and Logistics Administrative Assistant to join our team You will perform clerical, logistical, and administrative functions to help the office's continued success. This position will fluctuates based on the daily operations and needs of the company.Administrative ResponsibilitiesIncluded but not limited to:
    • Providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office
    • Answers calls, schedules meetings, and supports any visitors who enter the office
    • Interacting with customers, vendors, and visitors in a positive and supportive manner
    • Maintaining office supplies. Often, that means being proactive and going to individuals to ask what is needed
    • Monitor incoming/outgoing mail and packages, coordinating with our main office in Houston. That may include traveling to the post office or FedEx to deliver smaller packages during the day
    • Provide assistance when planning and preparing for special functions or events
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, emailing, scheduling appointments/calendars
    Logistics ResponsibilitiesIncluded but are not limited to: Assist Logistics Department
    • Assist in coordination of freight
    • Request freight quotes
    • Identify and select reputable and safe carriers for freight services
    • Provide strong communication skills with the operations team and individuals of all levels of the company via phone and email
    • Group shipments when possible to maximize profit
    • Create shipment documents
    • Submit Purchase Orders
    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Must be able to pass a Drug Screen
    • Must be willing to work overtime from time to time as needed
    • Strong sense of urgency regarding last-minute requests, cancellations, and changes
    • Strong multi-tasking abilities with ability to work well under pressure
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Advanced Excel knowledge
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook
    • Self-discipline, excellent attendance, reliability, and work ethic
    • Background in construction is preferred
