    Job Summary

    The Senior Director of Development will lead efforts to maintain and expand donor support, develop fundraising campaigns, and foster new relationships to drive fundraising growth.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans and campaigns.
    • Manage relationships with current donors and engage with new prospects.
    • Enhance communication strategies to reach target audiences.
    • Lead the annual campaign development process.
    • Collaborate on major gift initiatives.
    • Supervise the Development team in fundraising activities.
    • Coordinate donor events and manage fundraising goals.
    • Focus on cultivating corporate partnerships and securing support from foundation donors.
    Minimum Qualifications

    Desired Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Additional certifications in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management are a plus.

    Experience
    • 8+ years of relevant experience.
    • Preference for nonprofit and trade association experience.
    • Supervisory and budget management experience.
    Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor relations.
    • Excellent relationship-building skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation capabilities.
    • Detail-oriented with a proven track record in leading fundraising campaigns.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a fundraising team.

    Work Environment:

    • Hybrid work schedule in Washington, DC.
    • Availability for evening and weekend events.

    Travel: Approximately 25% of the time.
