Airwallex is looking for a highly strategic and metrics driven sales leader with strong 0 to 1 experience to lead and build our rapidly growing sales and account management function for the US SMB and mid markets team. This is a career-defining opportunity to join Airwallexs US SMB leadership team at an early stage, be deeply involved in finding product market fit, building our business from scratch and building out a large, successful, revenue generating sales function. + Highly strategic and a structured thinker: you know how to analyze problems and solve them at their root
+ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building from 0 to 1: youre joining at a time of hypergrowth so youll need to be excited to build the plane as we fly it
+ Highly skilled at managing multiple priorities and projects: one hour youll be on sales calls for our most important clients, the next youll be interviewing people to expand the team, and the next youll be analyzing metrics for trends and insights
+ Passionate about leading and coaching: you get excited by and know how to lead people, motivate them, and build highly resilient teams, especially because in 0 to 1 stage the team will regularly face rejection.
+ An adept closer: you should have strong closing and deal making experience
+ An owner with an entrepreneurial mindset: you own your work, your function, your results and everything in between and you know how to roll your sleeves up and creatively problem solve your way out of issues
years of experience with a blend of strategy/consulting/investment banking, go-to market, sales and management experience
+ A proven track record of closing deals and experience carrying a quota for yourself and team
+ Experience building and leading a team (scaling experience a plus) and more importantly, a strong passion for leadership and talent development
+ Exceptional analytical and organizational skills - you will have to juggle multiple balls - in one day getting on customer calls, closing deals with your team, reporting on metrics, hiring your team, coaching reps, and working on GTM strategy
+ A passion for sales and adding value: you enjoy the art of going to market and get excited about closing deals and helping customers
+ Ambition to grow very quickly: this is a hypergrowth role in a rocketship company, looking for people who have a deep desire and ambition to excel quickly in their career
+ Experience successfully leveraging Salesforce, , and a sales tech stack: you know how to use tools to rapidly achieve your strategy, vs basing your strategy primarily on tools
