- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to develop accurate forecasts and financial plans.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to management, including financial analysis, budget variance analysis, and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and ensure that accounting practices remain current and effective.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
