Accounts Receivable Medicaid Manager is responsible for the oversight and review of billing, recording and collection of revenue.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Trains new staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Ensures Medicaid billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner.
  • Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in accounts or billings.
  • Serves as a liaison between funding sources an A/R rep to negotiate acceptable payment plans.
  • Provides or facilitates accurate reports and analysis on financial data and metrics.
  • Meets with A/R Medicaid staff on a regular basis to communicate information and guidance from leadership and to review policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensures that all reports balance with billing within prescribed timeframes.
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Drafts correspondence for standard pastdue accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
  • Assists the Assistant Director of Accounts Receivable in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
  • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • All other duties assigned

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • At least three years of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of policies and procedures used in accounts receivable and billing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay:
$70, $75,000.00 per year
