    Company Overview:


    I am parterning with an innovative clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm headquartered here in the Bay Area, committed to developing pioneering therapies for rare diseases.

    My client is looking to bring on a Sr.

    Director/VP of Market Access to craft the approach for cutting-edge rare disease treatments, ensuring their delivery to those in need.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to facilitate access to pediatric rare disease therapies.
    Collaborate across teams to embed access considerations into product development and commercialization plans.
    Foster robust relationships with diverse payers, both public and private entities.
    Design and execute engagement strategies to secure favorable reimbursement for our therapies.
    Offer insights into payer perspectives to shape product development and pricing strategies.
    Lead negotiations on pricing and reimbursement to ensure optimal access.
    Conduct thorough market analyses and assess competitor pricing for strategy formulation.
    Co-create compelling value propositions with internal teams to resonate with payers.
    Align access strategies with overarching business goals alongside Commercial, Regulatory, Clinical Development, and Medical Affairs teams.
    Provide access expertise to inform clinical trial design and regulatory submissions.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

    At least 10 or moreyears of experience in access roles within pharmaceutical or biotech marketing, with a focus on rare diseases and pediatrics being ideal.

    Worked with specialty pharmacies
    Lead and built out a market access team
    Demonstrated success in formulating and executing access strategies for rare disease therapies.
    Profound understanding of payer landscapes, reimbursement processes, and pricing dynamics.
    Strong negotiation prowess and a track record of securing favorable reimbursement terms.
    Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with pivotal payers and stakeholders.
    Comprehensive grasp of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and compliance.
    Willingness to travel up to 25%.
