    Main Street America is looking for a Senior Customer Service and Sales Representative

    As a Senior Customer Service and Sales Representative, you will be working a senior level role that provides support to customers (insureds, clients, advisors, partners and agencies), as well as internal and external business partners. You will continually develop (or evolve) knowledge and skills necessary to provide expected support, as well as understand and maintain key performance indicators while living our company values.

    In this Hybrid role, you will be expected to come into the office closest to you a minimum of 10 days a month. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of one of the following locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110, Chicago, IL 60601; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034; Nashville, TN 37214

    Internal candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of location and will be considered based upon the needs of the role.

    Compensation range will be determined by geographic location.

    Madison, Eden Prairie, Keene, Pheonix, St. Joseph, and Nashville: $23-$35.57/ hour

    Boston, Denver, and Chicago: $25.96-$39.90/hour

    Hours of operation at Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. EST

    Primary Accountabilities

    • Independently serves as first point of contact for customers (insureds, agents, clients, advisors, or other relationship partners) regarding service issues, assists in troubleshooting issues, and enter complex service requests into appropriate systems for resolution by appropriate service partners.

    • Educates clients and advisors directly on newly enacted services, systems or procedures, as they arise, to facilitate efficient self-service. Serve as a key resource for customers on company or product policies and systems and troubleshoot complex usability issues raised by customers.

    • Responds directly to information requests initiated by customers utilizing a variety of systems. Provides information to customers and works with appropriate internal partners to resolve any outstanding questions.

    • Serves as peer mentor to other team members.

    • Consults and counsels with prospective customers via inbound telephone calls to sell insurance products.

    • Utilizes knowledge of products and underwriting guidelines to collect customer information, evaluate business appetite and individual risks, match coverage needs to available products, and generate quotes.

    • Cross-sells and binds new or additional products and/or coverage as appropriate.


    • Utilize a consultative sales approach to effectively provide insurance solutions that meet customer needs.


    • Engage with potential and existing customers to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate products and coverage

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

    • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

    • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematics (arithmetic, averaging, percentages, etc.).

    • Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment. (This includes face to face service or contact center; retail, insurance, hospitality, etc.).

    • Demonstrated ability to take the lead and guide our customers to resolution.


    • Understanding of customer service principles, including active listening, de-escalation techniques, and building rapport


    •In depth understanding of specific insurance products, including coverages, exclusions, limitations, and pricing.

    Licenses

    Property and casualty producer license


    •Resident state licensing exam(s) for property and casualty producer licenses within 30 days of hire.

    • Required to maintain current, active license(s) status by continuing education and meeting all state, operating and regulatory requirements.


    • If unlicensed, provide proof of successful completion of the AD Banker On-Line Pre-Licensing Course for employee's resident state prior to 8:00am CT the Wednesday before start date or the offer will be rescinded.

    Proof of successful completion is: 1. A score of at least 90% on the comprehensive exam for resident states having this exam in their coursework, and/or 2. The certificate(s) of completion for resident states requiring a pre-licensing course.

    Travel Requirements

    • Up to 10%.
