SUMMARY
NBP designs, manufactures and installs approach lighting systems as well as control and monitoring systems used at airports nationwide.


Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position holds an individual responsible for receiving, unpacking, and stocking of materials, supplies and equipment; receipt & processing of goods received against purchase orders; & accurate issuance of bills of material line items against sales orders/jobs.

Maintains meticulous record keeping of all incoming and outgoing products and materials in a stock room environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to coworkers, based on information from picks & incoming requisitions.
  • Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
  • Responsible for maintaining stocked supplies of packaging materials (identification and storage) required to ship outgoing materials and product. Notifies Manager when reordering of supplies is necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and interact effectively with all other departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience
Two to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 35 years of stockroom experience in an electronics manufacturing environment is desired. Experience using an ERP software system (Epicor, Oracle or similar) with understanding of and ability to perform various inventory transactions. Background using a tape & reel SMD component counter to verify stock is desired.
  • Forklift Certification or experience a plus
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Able to walk, sit, stand, reach and lift up to 40 lbs.

$ $25.00 per hour
