    Summary

    This position requires the ability to work as a senior member of the Market Performance Reporting & Compliance team to support the compliance and performance reporting activities in accordance with PUC regulations, Oncor Terms & Conditions, market protocols, company procedures and other retail market requirements in addition to supporting the Market Performance strategic initiatives.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    Directly or through others, the incumbent:
    • Performs all essential functions and aspects of the job including any other specific job requirements
    • Generates top quality internal and external reports by performing data mining, operational analysis and maintaining the aggregated data to produce accurate and complete reports in a timely manner. Reports include:
    • Mandated PUC quarterly performance metrics focused on Oncor's operational and transactional performance
    • Mandated monthly operational and transactional performance dashboard reporting to provide to senior leadership
    • Adhoc PUCT compliance reporting
    • Proactively monitors and evaluates current reports to identify and perform modification
    • Provides reporting services including ad-hoc in a timely manner to internal stakeholders such as Regulatory, Distribution, Technology, Measurement & Customer Engagement, and Customer Service by:
    • Collaborating with stakeholder to understand the information needs and determining business requirements
    • Gathering data from appropriate data sources, utilizing data mining skills, performing operational analysis and generating support data
    • Delivering an accurate and complete reporting product in a format based on stakeholder's documented or verbal specifications that will meet their needs
    • Designs, builds or enhances, tests, implements and maintains applications to support compliance and audit reporting activities
    • Monitors change requests, defects, and system issues that may impact reporting activities and collaborates with Reporting & Compliance team members and internal/external partners to apply workarounds/process changes as required
    • Assists business-data analyst with researching performance trends by analyzing large volumes of data
    • Develops and maintains documents associated with reporting processes
    • Performs special projects as requested
    Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Computer Science is preferred or minimum 5 to 7 years in one or a combination of the following areas: Distribution or Transmission Operations, Technology, Measurement & Customer Engagement, Regulatory or Asset Management
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
    • Intermediate to advanced experience as a business data analyst and/or operations data analyst
    • A working knowledge of database design from desktop to mainframe, data warehousing and data modeling
    • Data mining experience in a heterogeneous database environment
    • Ability to write new and understand existing SQL queries utilizing various DBMS systems including DB2 , Oracle, MS Access, and MS SQL Server.
    • Ability to create and analyze complex nested PL/SQL statements, stored procedures and data flows
    • Advanced knowledge in Access and Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, V-lookup, and pivot tables
    • Ability to create new and automate existing applications utilizing MS Office applications and VBA
    • Working knowledge of COGNOS and/or Tableau tools
    • Working knowledge of PUCT rules, market protocol, Oncor Terms & Conditions, the Texas Electric market and EDI transactions
    • Detailed Oriented
