    Description
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Senior Analyst responsibilities include advanced financial analysis and modeling of various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities. Senior Analysts also prepare presentation materials and assist in "due diligence" efforts on behalf of our clients. Senior Analysts typically work on multiple deal teams with two or three senior bankers on each transaction and are also responsible for facilitating the education and growth of first- and second-year analysts.
    • The analyst program represents an excellent opportunity to learn about the various aspects of investment banking and merchant banking. Applicants should realize the nature of the program requires a time commitment far beyond a typical 40-hour workweek. Accordingly, analysts are well-compensated relative to alternative positions in accounting and finance.
    • Upon completing the corporate finance analyst program, many analysts decide to further their formal business education at the top MBA programs in the country. Former Stephens' analysts have been accepted to schools such as Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, Columbia, Berkeley, Texas, and Virginia. Alternatively, many former analysts have obtained positions at leading private equity firms and hedge funds, various clients of Stephens and other positions in the field of finance. In addition, based upon their individual performance some analysts will be promoted to an Associate position within Stephens upon completing the program.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Senior Analyst candidates should have:
      • Completed two years as an Investment Banking Analyst at Stephens Inc. or other similar training and experience;
      • A high level of personal integrity and strong work ethic;
      • The ability to work well on small teams;
      • Strong analytical skills; and
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    The following registrations will be required within 6 months of employment:
    • SIE - Securities Industry Essentials
    • Series 7 - General Securities Representative
    • Series 63 - Uniform State Law Exam
    • Series 79 - Investment Banking Representative Exam
