    Senior SOX Compliance Analyst

    Location: North Dallas Area

    LOA: Full-Time on-site 5 days per week

    Job Summary:

    The Senior SOX Compliance Analyst will assist in managing the SOX Compliance program, reporting to the Director of SOX Compliance. Responsibilities include conducting the annual SOX risk assessment, maintaining SOX documentation, and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls through various assessment activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the annual SOX risk assessment process.
    • Update and maintain SOX flowcharts, risk assessments, and control documentation.
    • Manage the SOX application and ensure it is up to date.
    • Map process flows, document key controls, and identify control gaps and inefficiencies.
    • Assist in developing remediation plans to address control deficiencies.
    • Conduct SOX assessment activities, including reviewing business controls.
    • Facilitate walkthroughs, meetings, and the collection of Prepared By Client (PBC) documentation.
    • Work closely with internal and external auditors.
    • Collaborate with control owners to develop actionable remediation plans.
    • Manage multiple tasks and projects, adhering to budget goals and deadlines.
    • Perform special projects as needed.
    • Provide regular updates and seek guidance on progress as necessary.
    • Communicate challenges and issues promptly.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • 2-4 years of experience in SOX Compliance, Internal Audit, or External Audit.
    • Strong understanding of SOX requirements, COSO framework, risk assessment practices, and internal controls design.
    • Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and accounting principles.
    • Experience in conducting SOX business process reviews and creating professional process documentation.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in analytical work, documentation, and presentation.
    • Experience with AuditBoard is preferred.
