- Responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, starting from recording transactions to generating management reports and conducting ad-hoc analyses
- Supervising General Ledger operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with professional accounting standards and GAAP
- Taking the lead in managing the accounting team, which involves recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and other managerial duties
- Evaluating all documentation and contracts to enhance internal control mechanisms
- Acting as a point of contact for external auditing firms while taking the primary role in addressing the Company's technical accounting concerns
- Ensuring proper accounting treatment and reporting for company investments and transactions
- Collaborating with senior management to ensure internal compliance
- Establishing offshore capabilities for transaction processing and various accounting and finance functions
- Developing and executing effective tax compliance strategies to minimize tax liabilities and adhere to relevant tax laws and regulations
- Taking ownership of establishing SOX controls and documentation
- Supervising monthly closing activities for different divisions
- Providing timely financial reporting and conducting budget analyses for holding company and its four operating divisions
- Identifying and implementing improvements in accounting software workflows and maintaining accurate accounting software as the primary data source
- 12+ years of progressive experience (mix of public and private accounting) including 3+ years managing a team
- CPA license (active or inactive status)
- Willingness to transition between finance and accounting departments and switch between detailed tasks and a broader perspective to achieve company objectives
- Strong understanding of GAAP Standards and regulatory requirements
- High-level proficiency in Excel and working with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to manage both upwards and downwards
- Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
- A willingness and ability to work at both transactional and strategic levels
- A self-starter who is enthusiastic about FinTech and eager to make an immediate contribution to a new team
