    This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position.

    Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

    Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position.

    All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

    Individuals hired in a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job.

    OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs.

    Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.

    This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.


    Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $30.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

    This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 5601 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609.

    This position will be responsible for oversight of all proposed activities related to NC SOC Collaboratives.

    Duties include but are not limited to supporting development of community-based projects to increase awareness and utilization of HFW teams, oversight of SOC Collaborative scholarship program, providing technical assistance for implementation of projects awarded project scholarships, and facilitating collection of required data.

    • Working knowledge of the needs of the population served.
    • Working knowledge of program objectives, standards and rules in the areas of assignment.
    • Working knowledge of structure and operations of agencies and service providers and the delivery of services.
    • Ability to participate in program planning, evaluation and quality control methods.
    • Ability to understand the applications of technology to the program area.
    • Ability to collect and analyze data and information.
    • Ability to coordinate and assist in directing a complex statewide program.
    • Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, standards and policies regarding providers.
    • Ability to research, analyze and interpret State and Federal laws and formulate these laws into policies and procedures related to the program area.
    • Ability to design and present training.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and/or written form.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other state agencies, providers of services, advocacy groups and other organizations.

    Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience; or


    Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
